About Me
Welcome to K.C Alternative therapy
Hi, I'm Kelly.
Your local alternative therapist restoring balance, health and wellbeing, with bespoke massage and acupuncture therapy in the heart of Sunderland.
My therapy career started 20 years ago, working as a beauty therapist, practising relaxation therapies in a local salon. During this time I noticed the amazing benefits of massage and alternative therapy, and the difference it made to my client's health, both physically and mentally, enhancing and restoring their wellbeing.
This enhanced my passion for personal care and my need to help others cope with pain, stress, anxiety and succeed in healing and preventing injury. My huge love and passion for massage therapy, influenced my pursuit in becoming a massage specialist.
I completed my level 3 diploma and level 4 foundation degree in Sports massage therapy, and gained experience in the sports sector working with Houghton Rugby club, as part of my learning programme, and offering post event treatments for runners at GNR events. In the effort to further my career and knowledge, I have since gained qualifications in Oncology massage to help those suffering with and recovering from cancer, Lava Shell massage, and acupuncture.
In 2015 I opened my mobile therapy business and delivered alternative therapy treatments within the comfort of peoples homes, in and around the area of Sunderland. My business has since grown, which has inspired me to bring my therapy services to the heart of Sunderland and open my therapy clinic within Mackie's Corner in Sunderland city centre.
My dedication as a therapist, is to help as many people as possible restore balance and wellbeing to their lives, by alleviating your pain and improving your mobility, using a holistic perspective. I treat and work with the body as a whole, to ensure I am treating the cause and not just the symptom, using my knowledge and understanding of how the body works and the connection between body and mind, helping you be injury and pain free.

I offer in a variety of holistic and remedial massage treatments from Sports massage, Deep tissue massage, Oncology massage, Swedish massage and Lava Shell massage. Each treatment is bespoke to your needs using a range of soft tissue techniques to help alleviate pain and improve mobility. I am passionate about showing my clients how they can achieve their goals with alternative therapy, and how just a few treatments can make an enormous difference to their health. Acupuncture
Acupuncture is a form of alternative therapy derived from ancient Chinese medicine, which has been used for over 2000 thousand years. Acupuncture is recognised as a safe and efficient treatment and is often used to treat a wide range of health conditions and injuries.
